A Woman's Heart was the soundtrack to last night's Derry Girls, and everyone got so nostalgic
LAST NIGHT’S EPISODE of Derry Girls was once again an absolute belter – the Quinns welcomed a teenager from Chernobyl, to typically disastrous results.
Channel 4 Channel 4
As usual, it was the little details that completely made the episode. A party for the ‘foreigners’ involved everyone doing the dance to Saturday Night, and Granda Joe met a new woman “at the Stations of the Cross”.
But it was the song that closed out the show that really did it for people this week: That Irish classic of the 90s, A Woman’s Heart.
The song accompanied an unusually sweet moment in the series, and everyone watching at home couldn’t help but get carried off on a wave of nostalgia.
Whoops!
We couldn't find this Tweet
Unfortunately, the Channel 4 continuity announcer started chatting over it about halfway through the first verse, which as we all know is complete sacrilege:
Why not take a moment now on this Friday morning to listen to it in full? That’s what we’re doing. And we’re absolutely not crying. There’s just something in our eyes.
